Creative Zone is the center of Assembly’s creative activities. If you’re interested in demos, coding, developing games, building electronics, programming or creative technology in general – you’ve come to the right place.

Creative Zone is produced in co-operation with IGDA Finland.

If you are looking for info about the activities inside the dome, check out the program page of Hacklab & Raves.

Scene Lounge

Demoscene’s living room, where everyone who is interested in media art can come and watch demos and multiple competitions in programming, music and graphics. Come and meet other enthusiasts and sceners. In the lounge, you’ll find a screen where you can watch some of the event’s demo competitions and you can also participate in Lounge’s own competitions, many of which are easier to approach than the big demo competitions, and they do not require extensive coding skills.

ArtTech Seminars

The deep end of technology and the shallower coast – Assembly’s seminars offer content for industry enthusiasts as well as beginners and other interested in technology.

Read more about the talks from the Scene Lounge Seminars program page.

IGDA Workshops

There are several workshops related to the game development and coding. The target group is mainly beginners, but there is also content for the more advanced. The content is also suitable for families and young people. You will need your own laptop to participate in the workshops. A limited number of people are accepted as participants for the workshops.
