Diverse esports program consists of World class NHL gaming and always popular CS:GO, Valorant and fighting games.
We are happy to announce that Assembly Summer 2023, organized in February in Helsinki, will feature a first ever live NHL esports World Championship match. In the match the European champion will meet the North American champion making this the first time the best of both continents have met in a live match in the same location!
On Friday, February 24, we will see the final match of the European Championship League in NHL 6v6 game. The winner will advance to the World Finals which is played on Saturday February 25 where the newly crowned European champ will meet the North American NHL 6v6 champ. At Assembly Winter 2023 you get to witness who will be the new World champion! The prize pool of the NHL esports tournament is $28,000.
Other esports programs at Assembly Winter 2023 include Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant, and Assymylly fighting game tournaments. For many years our CS:GO events have been some of the most popular esports entertainment at Assembly, and the crowd should not be disappointed this time either.
Valorant continues to thrive at Assembly. This time the stage is reserved for Valorant 2v2 finals and an influencer showmatch on Saturday February 25. The 2v2 tournament is open for all computer seat ticket holders and starts on Friday February 24. The showmatch includes some of the most popular Valorant streamers from Finland like H1ber, Nxoon, aippa, pikkujanica and xdsanni. The Valorant show is produced together with Kamk.gg.
Assymylly is the pinnacle of fighting games at Assembly featuring multiple open for all games played on and off-stage during the event. The game titles this time are Guilty Gear: Strive, Tekken 7, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
Hand in hand with esports we are proud to announce a different kind of game tournament: table hockey Finnish Championship! Table hockey has been part of Assembly a few times new, and there is definitely a love for the fast paced table game in Finland. The table hockey booth provides a free-to-play area where you can test your skills. The Finnish Championship tournament is held on Saturday February 25.
