Assembly Winter 2025

Get tickets

Assembly has a new game mode: Dress to Impress with a cosplay catwalk theme. Now is your chance to show your outfit on the catwalk of the Assembly main stage, either on your own or as a group!

Dress to impress: category – Cosplay Catwalk

Cosplay catwalk is a low-threshold cosplay show, where costumers of all levels get to present their outfits while walking on stage. Cosplay catwalk is not a competition, i.e. the costumes are not judged, but the purpose is to celebrate cosplay in gaming circles. However, this year, like in the Dress to Impress game, the audience’s favorites will be awarded on stage.

Characters from all sources are welcome to the catwalk, as well as self-invented characters created in the world of an official source. The outfit can be self-made, bought, borrowed or even assembled from ready-made parts. On stage, you can present your outfit and pose in front of the camera, while the MC tells a little about the outfit and its wearer. You can come to the stage alone, as a couple or max. as a group of 5 people.

Registration for the catwalk is done in advance using a separate form, which opens on December 1st at 18.00 and closes at the latest on January 31st at 23.59, or when 30 places are filled. Only one of the pairs or groups acts as a contact person.

The first 10 registrants claim a free day ticket. After this, those who have registered must take care of entry to the event by another means.

If you have any questions about Cosplay catwalk or cosplay at Assembly, you can contact Cosplay(at)Assembly.org

So come along!

Cosplay Catwalk Rules

  • The event offers a day ticket to the first 10 people who register. You can get a day ticket on the spot at the event.
  • Participating in the event binds the costumer from morning to the end of the program for about 3 hours. However, there is still plenty of time to enjoy the event
  • You can register for the catwalk alone or in groups of 2-5 people.
  • The outfits of the groups must be from the same source.
  • The outfits can be from any media; from cartoons, movies, animations, video games, books or tabletop role-playing games. A self-created character from an official source is also allowed
  • There is no age limit for participating in the Cosplay Catwalk, but in the case of really young participants, we ask an older family member or guardian to be with the participant.
  • At least one photo of the cosplay character must be submitted, preferably a full-body photo that shows the character in its entirety. The image is projected onto the stage screen during each participant’s turn.
  • Participants must indicate whether the outfit(s) is self-made, bought or made from ready-made parts.
  • Prohibited types of props at the event and on stage are:
    • Weapon replicas
    • Wooden and metal baseball bats
    • Long metal chains
    • Genuine hunting or sport bows
    • Knives of all shapes and sizes, bladed weapons and scissors made of metal
    • Props and toys that can shoot any type of ammunition (ball guns, NERF guns.)
    • Props over 180cm long, regardless of the manufacturing material
  • The information provided by the participants in advance (character information, source, whether the outfit is self-made, bought ready-made, modified or custom-made) is narrated by the presenters during each participant’s stage performance.
  • Each participant has the same amount of time on stage. On average, it takes about a minute for the presentations, so you should book several poses.
  • It is not possible to use separate audio or lights during posing
