Assembly, World-Renowned Computer and Digital Culture Festival, Welcomes New Ownership
Assembly Organizing Oy – The company behind Finland's largest computer festival, Assembly, is changing ownership.
Telia Company has sold all shares of Assembly Organizing Oy on November 17, 2023, to Assembly’s executive management and long-time organizers. After the business transaction, Assembly Organizing Oy's operations and events will continue as before. Lassi Nummi will continue as the CEO and a shareholder of Assembly Organizing Oy.
Assembly Organizing Oy organizes the world-renowned, Finland’s largest computer and digital culture festival at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre. The Assembly Winter and Assembly Summer festivals are held twice a year. In addition to the festivals, which can attract up to 25,000 visitors, Assembly Organizing Oy organizes esports tournaments and gaming-themed pop-up events, and offers influencer and other marketing services to companies.

Telia`s support has been vital, especially during the coronavirus pandemic when organizing physical events was impossible. However, during this time, we built a large online community of Finnish gamers, to whom we can now offer physical encounters in the form of events again. Thus, Assembly`s 30-year history continues entrepreneurially driven.”

Telia will continue as Assembly's main partner and provider of secure network connectivity in 2024. The company is committed to supporting digital inclusion and a sustainable gaming culture for children.
The main events of Assembly for 2024 are Assembly Winter (February 22-25, 2024) and Assembly Summer (August 1-4, 2024), both to be held at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre.
